Electrocoin looks set fair for 2025, with its new Bar-X Diamond Ticket Redemption built in anticipation of changing trends, and the Spinning Cyclone responding to shifting player behaviour through a focus on “fun and fast” operation, the supplier is well-placed to weather whatever legislative or regulatory surprises the new year may deliver.
With ACOS one of the last UK shows dedicated to the coin operated amusement industry, Electrocoin will once again take advantage of the unique opportunities provided by the event to gauge the response to this year’s season, and consolidate plans for 2025.
Alongside presenting a range of proven products including DDRA20 Plus and brand new releases such as the Bar-X Diamond Ticket Redemption, the supplier will take the chance to assess the current state of the market, and identify key trends for the coming year.
“It’s an opportunity to see everyone again to understand how the season was for them and to see what new trends worked and which didn’t,” said sales and marketing manager John A Stergides. “Being the last UK coin-op show, it’s also an opportunity to order ahead for new games for the following year and to preview new games.”
“We use the ACOS to preview some new products to garner operator feedback if anything needs to be added to make it an even better game. The show is also an opportunity for visitors to discuss how they feel the year ahead will go and whether there will be any changes implemented in 2025 as there are further delays with the White Paper due to the new government.”
This year has seen Electrocoin unveil a number of new products such as Spinning Cyclone, while strong performers such as Magic 7 Key and Rocket Launch have gone “from strength to strength,” alongside standout dance machine DDRA20 Plus.
“It has the quality, reliability, and it’s the only dance machine with the simpler four-step model. With official blockbuster licences for players to dance to, it can’t be matched on the market and will be in operation for many years ahead. This makes it very popular with operators as it is consistent and durable – we still provide support for units 20+ years old such is their durability.”
Long-term pinball partner Stern also continues to excite, with new titles such as John Wick and the new Uncanny X-Men, while the new BAR- X Diamond Ticket Redemption anticipates possible new changes in the sector.
“This was requested by operators – to create a game that will fill potential floor space, that has a renowned following and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Initial testing has gone so well that we are now entering full production for 2025.”
Taking a wider view on the future of the industry itself and Electrocoin’s hopes for the new year, Stergides added: “We need an increase in prize value, as costs have gone up and even £50 value prize doesn’t hold as much excitement as it did when it was first initialised.”
“We also need an increase in stakes and prizes for Cat C, which will help energise the market, and we should even look at a new category stake and prize to provide a new element of fun and encouragement development.”
