Electrocoin and UDC have confirmed that plans are afoot to restage the annual Park Avenue Open Day in summer 2022, following a two year pandemic-induced hiatus.

The industry event, which has run since the 1980s, is set to return on 8 June, with companies and suppliers from across the UK invited to Brent to join the celebration.

“We hope and expect that it will go ahead next year,” said Electrocoin’s John Stergides. “Having spoken to a number of previously participating companies, they are equally excited for it to go ahead as they miss the networking opportunity.”

The first Park Avenue Open Day took place in 1987, with the 11 resident amusement machine firms all opening their doors to welcome industry members with entertainment and refreshments.

Though UDC and Electrocoin are now the sole remaining amusement focused businesses, the 2022 event is expected to attract more than 30 companies, all keen to showcase new products and socialise with colleagues.

“Once again we will welcome guests with a champagne reception in the morning, followed by our famous Greek Barbecue and UDC’s cream tea,” added Stergides.

“We ask our guest participating companies for a donation to charity for allocating them some space and once again Bacta’s Charitable Trust will be the beneficiary of these donations.”
