Coinslot: From your perspective how do you assess the Irish gaming market?
John Stergides: “It represents opportunities which is the reason for our return to the Irish Gaming Show. With the opening of new amusement centres, we believe the Irish market will now start to accept new machines.”
CS: What products, or product types from Electrocoin have been performing well in the Irish market in the last year?
JS: “GoGo Chicken, the Galileo Ticket Eaters and Pinball Machines. We expect this to continue into the year.”
CS: Will you be focusing on showcasing any particular products or product types at the show?
JS: “We will be taking the above products as we are focussing on the redemption, vending and pinball market.”
CS: What have been the main trends, or talking points in the Irish market over the last year?
JS: “The changes that need to be done to the gaming act and the opening of new FECS. Or being able to put non gambling machines into arcades.”
CS: How important is it, on the back of a huge event like ICE, to attend a more regionally-focused show such as the Irish Gaming Show?
JS: “It provides an opportunity to expand on current relationships but also to speak with people who were unable to attend the recent shows in London.”
