Electrocoin enjoyed a fruitful FIJMA 23, the International Gambling and Gaming Trade Show show, in Madrid, Spain, last month.

The manufacturer and distributor had a number of its products in the Spanish capital including its ever-popular skill shooter game.

Sales and marketing manager John A Stergides told InterGame: “The show is usually bi-annual but they decided to have one this year.

“It didn’t have all the usual exhibitors, there were fewer gambling companies this year. It looked like there was more amusement products there but it was a very positive show.

“Electrocoin took the biggest stand we’ve had in ten years for the show. Skill Shooter, Rocket Launch and Mr Do Space Rocks got a lot of attention and the Skill Cut. They were the most popular products.

“We had a great stand, we even had a bar serving Spanish ham and beer.”

Stergides said that while the Spanish market had been quiet, the industry there was starting to grow.

He said: “I think like many countries now, the leisure side is starting to grow because people want to enjoy themselves, they want that experience. This show allows us to offer directly to that market. It’s not just arcades and bowling centres, there’s a lot of hotels as well.”

Founder of Electrocoin, John Stergides, added: “It was buzzing, I’ve never seen so many people there for the first two days. Speaking to a lot of exhibitors there, they’d all done very well.

“For us it was good because we saw people from the past and we tried to reconnect with the old faces from 30 years ago, hopefully they’ll have some good results for us.
