With sun shining and investment rising the future looks bright says Electrocoin’s John A Stergides. As such, the company will be in good health at the Crown Northern Showcase backed by an expanded product portfolio.
Early season indicators have been overwhelmingly positive this year but there is little resting on laurels to be done. The Crown Northern Showcase offers the perfect space for the industry to come together, discuss the new lay of the land and plan for future prosperity.
For Electrocoin, specifically the first four months of the year have been typified by success and excitement commented Stergides. The company has focused on expanding the family-centric
portion of its unit portfolio – all in time for summer – with “expanding the world of play” being a key driver behind the developments.
“It’s been a positive start to the year and hopefully after what we’ve been told has been a good Easter for many operators. This will continue as we strive to increase our portfolio of amusement products. This year is exceptional to Electrocoin as we have increased our game selection for family oriented games to expand the world of play,” said Stergides.
Whilst the sun may be shining, a number of issues remain within the market landscape. Looking past the immediate bright lights of summer Stergides commented on some of the challenges ahead, serving to highlight Electrocoin’s forward-thinking approach to the industry.
“Obviously we need the perfect weather scenario for the operators but I think addressing the contactless card payment situation will become a focus as cash transactions continue to drop,” he said. “One important factor will be the reaction from the FOBTS which affected all trade in our industry from major manufacturers to local cafes which limited investment due to future uncertainty. However we can now all look to the future with more positivity and investments can start again as prior to 2005 Gambling Act.”
Drawing attention to the showcase itself Stergides highlighted a number of factors that make the regional event one not to be missed for Electrocoin. “It is a must attend as it’s an important show held in the north just after the Easter period and this also helps bring those in the northern region up-to date with the latest machines and allows discussions about the industry’s new developments,” he said.
Smaller and more regionally-focused but no less important than the biggest showcases on the industry calendar, events such as the Northern Showcase bring with them their own key benefits. “They are very important as it’s an opportunity to meet with existing and new clients in between the big shows but also most importantly is that customers and suppliers have plenty of time to talk and discuss updates wIth all aspects of our business,” explained Stergides.
Highlighting this importance Electrocoin will be bringing a number of its hottest machines to the show floor including a number of units from the company’s expanded range. “Skill Cut, Hit and Smash, Beatles Gold Pinball, Drop A Winner and Cat C Casino Hi Roller Elektra. There is a big focus on games which provide a fun play and a reward for all the family to play together,”finished Stergides.
