Ever since its UK premier at the Autumn Coin-Op Show 2018, Electrocoin’s Skill Cut has been proving a popular choice for operators looking for an attractive, eye-catching product.

Despite being on the market less than a year, the supplier has already had to restock the machines – available in pink, blue, light blue, green and yellow – due to high demand.

“It’s quite unique,” said Electrocoin business development manager John Anthony Stergides. “Unlike other novelty games it gives you the excitement of being able to win the big prize that fills the whole machine.”

“Ever since we’ve been bringing them out, customers have taken one initially to try, and then what we’ve noticed is they come back and order two or three more.”

Players are rewarded if they release the main button to operate the cutting blades at the correct moment, with the machine also offering redemption tickets for unsuccessful attempts.

“It’s been doing really well,” said Stergides. “We’ve heard from Cains, SuperBowl UK, Clacton Pier, and they tell us how well it’s been performing – we’re getting very good feedback indeed.”

“Skill Cut gives the excitement you get at a fairground being able to walk away with that big prize, and – it gets excellent return on investment.”
