Limited Edition Beatles Pinball Machines Make European Debut Exclusively At London Shopping Centre
28 November 2018 – London: The Brunswick Centre, London’s shopping centre set in Russell Square, is to host a three-week pop up store featuring limited edition Stern pinball machines themed exclusively on rock-and-roll band, The Beatles. Opening on Thursday 29th November, shoppers and pinball fans can play the four Beatles Pinball machines free, immersing themselves in Beatlemania during the festive shopping season.
Situated opposite Russell Square underground tube station, the Brunswick Shopping Centre, well known for its stellar line up of retail shops, cafes and Curzon Cinema brings further entertainment to festive shoppers by hosting this pop up store. The pinball machines – making its European debut at the shopping centre – are one-of-a-kind within the pinball world. With only 1,964 machines made – the number in recognition of the year the four musicians from Liverpool, England, were introduced to American fans during The Beatles world tour.
The four pinball machines will throw players deep into The Beatles world. The machines feature nine timeless hit songs on the soundtrack, including favourites such as ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Help’. The retro-themed game brings the nostalgia back with traditional pinball flippers, drop targets and multiple skills shots amongst the many traditional elements that make pinball machines such a fun past time.
Developed in the early 1970s, The Brunswick Centre is home to a wide range of retail and lifestyle stores including River Island, Office and New Look amongst health and wellbeing options such as So Me Beauty Bar and Revital. The modernist architecture achieved Grade II listed status in 2000. Today, the shopping options sits alongside 560 residential flats, making the area a buzz with activity and energy.
